Liverpool will face Atletico Madrid in the next round. Atletico defeated fellow Spanish rivals Valenica to make the semi-finals and are a top-priced 9/2 with Betfair to win the Europa League. They are also Liverpool star striker Fernando Torres’s old club, which should add spice to the occasion.

Plucky English side Fulham, who put Wolfsburg to the sword both home and away in the quarter-finals, are deemed to be the outsiders among the last four and can be backed at 5/1 with Coral or Betfair.

The west London club’s opponents in the semis will be Hamburg SV – conquerors of Standard Liege in the quarters – who are a top-priced 5/2 with Betfair.
