Lacklustre Liverpool head Europa League betting

Out-of-sorts Liverpool are 11/2 favourites to win the UEFA Europa League despite their continued poor performances in the EPL.

The Reds lost their ninth Premier League game of the season against lowly Wigan on Monday evening.

Second favourites in the betting are Juventus – another big name currently going through the doldrums – at 7/1. Next up is La Liga’s third placed side, Valencia, at 8/1, followed by Portugal’s Benfica at 10/1 and Hamburg at 11/1.

German contenders Werder Bremen are 14/1 to win the competition, as are Spain’s Athletic Madrid. Marseilles, Wolfsburg and Rubin Kazan can all be backed at 16/1.

Lille, Liverpool’s opponents tonight, are 33/1 to lift the trophy, with Anderlecht and Standard Liege rank outsiders at 40/1 and 50/1 respectively.
