MILAN, ITALY – Crisis-hit Inter Milan will be looking for a return to winning ways this Friday evening as they host relegation-threatened Bologna at the San Siro. Inter are the clear favourites for the contest, with Bet Victor offering a best price of 1/2 on a home victory. Bologna are an 8/1 shot at William Hill to inflict further misery on the hosts with victory whilst the draw is a 7/2 chance with Coral.
Following Sunday’s shock defeat to lowly Novara, Inter Milan head into this Friday’s clash with Bologna needing all three points to calm the growing discontent at the San Siro. The Nerazzurri have been in a dismal run of form recently, with just a solitary point from their last four league games seeing the side fall a full eleven points behind city rivals AC Milan in the title race and, perhaps even more worryingly, six points behind Lazio in the chase for the third and final Champions League place.
Bologna currently lie 17th in the league standings, four points clear of the drop zone with two games in hand. The Rossublu have been in good form recently, unbeaten in their last five league matches with four draws and one victory, and will be hopeful of piling further misery on the hosts this evening to lift themselves further out of trouble. Stefano Pioli’s side have no injury worries heading into the contest and are well rested after last weekend’s fixture with Juventus was postponed due to adverse weather conditions.
Internazionale are 6/1 with Boylesports to win the match by a goal to nil whilst 2-0 to the hosts is a 13/2 chance at William Hill. Bologna can be backed at 20/1 with Paddy Power to come away with a 1-0 victory whilst 2-1 to the visitors is a 28/1 shot in the market with Ladbrokes. Coral Hill offer an industry best 8/1 on the 1-1 draw whilst a goalless affair is a 12/1 chance at Boylesports.
William Hill offer an industry best 10/11 on three or more goals being scored in the contest whilst four or more is a 9/4 chance with the same firm. Punters expecting a low scoring affair can back less than three goals being scored at even money with Paddy Power whilst fewer than two is a 3/1 shot at Boylesports.
Inter Milan’s Diego Milito, who leads his side’s scoring charts with twelve league goals so far this season, is the favourite to open the scoring in the encounter at 3/1 with Bet365. Uruguayan international Diego Forlan is next in the market at 7/2 with Bet Victor whilst out of form Wesley Sneijder is an 11/2 shot in the market with Paddy Power. Bologna’s Marco Di Vaio, who leads his side’s scoring charts with six league strikes so far this season, is the visitor’s top chance to break the deadlock at a 9/1 with SkyBet.
The Match Kicks off at 1945 GMT.
