PARMA, ITALY - Parma host Juventus this evening in Serie A with Juventus clear favourites to win the game at a best price of 9/10 (bet £10 to win £9) on Betfair. Despite having the home advantage, struggling Parma are 4/1 with most firms, such as Ladbrokes, Stan james and Bet Victor to win the game. Punters can get a best price of 5/2 with Bet365 and Coral on the draw.
Parma are languishing in 12th position but have a reasonable home record this season, having won five, drawn three and lost two of their ten home games so far this season. They haven't faced many of the top teams in the division at home however, the highest-placed team to have visited Parm being Udinese who lost 2-0 to the home side. Parma are 25/1 to win 2-0 again here, with Paddy Power, while the 1-0 home win is best at 11/1 with the same firm.
Parma have the seventh best home attack in the division, scoring in 80% of their games and hitting an average of 1.9 goals per game at the Stadio Ennio Tardini. They are 16/1 to win 2-1 with Blue Square while you can get a huge 80/1 with Stan James on the 3-0 home win.
The reason for such long odds is the impressive form of Juventus this season, who are the only unbeaten side in the division. They lie in second in the league, only behind Milan, who have lost the next least amount of games with four. They have won and drawn an equal amount of away games (five) and so it may be worth back Juventus with a draw no bet at 4/11 with Ladbrokes.
The 1-0 away win is 5/1 with most firms while Coral are offering 15/2 on the 2-0 Juve win. 2-1 to the away side is 17/2 with the same firm, again a top price, while 3-0 is 14/1 with Blue Square and Bet365. Only one of Juventus' five draws on the road hasn't been either 0-0 or 1-1, and you can back 0-0 with Bet365 at 8/1, amongst other firms offering the same price. 1-1 is best at 6/1 with Bet Victor and Boylesports.
Juventus are 2/1 with Blue Square to be winning at both half-time and full-time, while Draw/Juventus in the same half-time/full-time result market is 7/2 with all of Coral, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. Draw/Draw is 4/1 with Bet365 amongst most other firms, while Parma are a top price of 9/1 with Blue Square to be winning at half-time and full-time. Draw/Parma is 10/1 with Stan James.
Juventus are most likely going to line-up with Matri and Vucinic up front as a two, in front of a five-man midfield (including wing-backs) of L'steinerm, Vidal, Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and De Ceglie. Barzagli, Bonucci and Chiellini are the most likely back three, in front of goalkeeper Buffon. Juve coach Antonio Conte is without winger Simone Pepe. Conte also has Fabio Quagliarella at his disposal up front.
Floccari and Giovinco are the most likely striker pairing for Parma, in front of Valiani, Morron, Mariga, Modesto and Gobbi in midfield.
Juventus are looking to go top of the table with a win while league leaders Milan play Arsenal in the Champions League, and the match is live on ESPN, kicking off at 1730 GMT today.
