Serie A: Napoli v Juventus Odds and Betting Preview

NAPLES, ITALY – S.S.C. Napoli face league leaders Juventus in their hotly anticipated Serie A clash at the Stadio San Paolo on Tuesday evening. Napoli are currently nine points behind Juventus in the league, but will be playing with the advantage of a home crowd, and therefore start the game as slight 6/4 (bet £4 to make £6 profit) favourites with Bet365. For those punters anticipating a win for the away side, however, Juventus are on offer at 15/8 with Victor Chandler, whilst the draw can be backed at 9/4 with Paddy Power.

Napoli started the season strongly, but have since had a loss of form, gaining only two points from their last three matches. Edinson Cavani’s goal in the fourth minute of injury time sealed a 1-1 draw against Atalanta on Saturday, but manager Walter Mazzarri would have hoped to gain all three points from the fixture. Napoli will be hoping to get back on track with a victory against Juventus, but the Turin giants will certainly not be an easy side to beat. Antonio Conte’s side have won their last three games in a row, and if they secure another victory on Tuesday they will move four points clear at the top of the league.

In the over/under betting the top price on over 2.5 goals being scored is 23/20 with Stan James, whilst under 2.5 goals is available at 8/11 with Boylesports. For those punters expecting the game to end in a bore draw, however, under 0.5 goals can be backed at a market best of 8/1 with William Hill.

Napoli striker Edinson Cavini has been on dangerous form in the Serie A so far this season, hitting the net five times in ten appearances. Unsurprisingly he starts the game as favourite to open the scoring at 5/1 with Paddy Power, whilst team mate Ezequiel Lavezzi is available at a slightly longer 6/1 with Boylesports. Juventus’ most successful striker this campaign has been Alessandro Matri, who has also scored five league goals. Matri can be backed to break the deadlock at 11/2 with William Hill.

Napoli are quoted at best odds of 7/2 with Ladbrokes to win the match after leading at half time, whilst draw/Napoli is on offer at 5/1 with Stan James. Draw/Juventus is available at 11/2 with Victor Chandler, whilst those punters who think that the away side will fight back to win the match after trailing at half time can back Napoli/Juventus at longer odds of 33/1 with Paddy Power.
