Serie A: AS Roma v AC Milan Odds and Betting Preview

ROME, ITALY – AC Milan travel to Rome on Saturday to play AS Roma in their hotly anticipated Serie A clash. Milan are the reigning champions of Italian football, and will be looking to retain their title at the end of this campaign. Massimiliano Allegri's side are currently two points behind league leaders Juventus, and need to apply pressure to their rivals with a win on Saturday. Milan will start the game as favourites, and can be backed at best odds of 13/8 (bet £8 to make £13 profit) with Paddy Power. Roma, on the other hand, are on offer at a slightly longer 15/8 with Victor Chandler, whilst the draw is available at 9/4, also with Victor Chandler.

AC Milan begun their season with a terrible run of form, dropping seven points in their first three league fixtures. Since then, however, Allegri's side have found some momentum, and have won their last three games in a row. Roma are only three points behind AC in the table, however, and will not prove to be feeble opponents. Manager Luis Enrique will be extremely disappointed to have lost 2-1 to Genoa on Wednesday, a result that does not adequately reflect the quality and experience of his squad, and will be doubly determined to come out fighting against Milan. The stage is set for a captivating contest.

In the over/under betting the top price on over 2.5 goals being scored is 21/20 with Stan James, whilst under 2.5 goals is available at 4/5 with Boylesports. For those punters who are anticipating a goalless stalemate, however, under 0.5 goals can be backed at best odds of 9/1 with Bet365.

Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in Milan's 4-1 victory over Parma in midweek, and is currently 11/2 favourite with Skybet to be the first name on the score sheet on Saturday. Ibrahimovic's team mate Antonio Cassano is also thought likely to open the scoring at 6/1 with William Hill, whilst Roma star Pablo Osvaldo can be backed at identical odds of 6/1 with Bet365 to break the deadlock.

Milan are quoted at best odds of 7/2 with Ladbrokes to win the match after leading at half time, whilst draw/Milan is on offer at 11/2 with Blue Square. Draw/Roma is available at a slightly longer 6/1 with Coral, whilst those punters who think that Roma will win the match after trailing at half time can back Milan/Roma at odds as long as 33/1 with Victor Chandler.
