TURIN, ITALY – Juventus host Fiorentina this evening in their crucial Serie A clash in Turin. Juventus have drawn their last two league fixtures, dropping two points behind Udinese at the top of the table. Antonio Conte's side will be eager to avoid a similar result in their upcoming match, and can be backed to secure three points at best odds of 3/4 with Victor Chandler. Fiorentina, on the other hand, can be backed at 9/2 with Ladbrokes, whilst the draw is on offer at 13/5 with Bet365.
Juventus moved into their brand-new stadium at the start of this season, and are unbeaten at the new ground with two wins and two draws. Conte's side finished a disappointing seventh in the league last year, and are clearly determined to mount a serious title challenge this time round. The one major concern for the Bianconeri, however, is the difficulty they seem to be having in converting draws into victories. Juventus have four draws and three wins this season, and will hope to improve this statistic with a victory this evening. Fiorentina have not won in their last four league games, and have failed to score in all three of their away fixtures so far this season. Sinisa Mihajlovic's side will be grateful to hear that that Juventus veteran Gianluigi Buffon will miss tonight's game due to injury, but still face a tough challenge away in Turin.
In the over/under betting the top price on over 2.5 goals is 21/20 with Stan James, whilst under 2.5 goals is available at 4/5 with Bet365. For those punters who are anticipating a goalless, however, under 0.5 goals is on offer at 9/1 with William Hill.
Italian striker Alessandro Matri has been on sharp form in front of goal for Juventus this season, netting three times in six league appearances. Unsurprisingly Matri is joint favourite to to open the scoring tonight, and can be backed to do so at best odds of 5/1 with Paddy Power. Matri's team mate Mirko Vucinic is also thought likely to be the first name on the score sheet at an identical 5/1 with Paddy Power, whilst Juventus veteran Alessandro Del Piero is on offer at 6/1 with Skybet. Fiorentina's most dangerous attacking player is thought to be Alberto Gilardino, who can be backed to break the deadlock at 7/1 with Coral.
Juventus are quoted at best odds of 9/5 with Blue Square to win the match after leading at half time, whilst draw/Juventus is available at 7/2 with Ladbrokes. Draw/Fiorentina is available at a slightly longer 11/1 with Coral, whilst those punters who think that Fiorentina will win the match after trailing at half time can back Juventus/Fiorentina at odds as long as 55/1 with Paddy Power.
