Celtic have already fallen seven points behind Rangers in the two-horse race for the SPL title and will need a good result as they travel to Hearts on Sunday if they are to risk losing sight of their rivals. They should be more than capable of winning here, and Paddy Power make them just 8/11 to earn the points they want, with the draw at 14/5 with Victor Chandler and the hosts available at 9/2 with Boylesports and Coral.
Last time out, Celtic drew 1-1 at home to Udinese; a very encouraging result going into Sunday's match. They have also won their last two SPL games and will surely be confident of coming out on top against a Hearts side that have won just twice in their last eight games in all competitions.
A 1-0 win for Celtic is the favourite score for the game, at 7/1 with Ladbrokes, ahead of a 1-1 draw and a 2-0 win, both at 8/1, again with Ladbrokes, who are also top price on 0-0, offering 12/1. A sound 3-0 win for Celtic is 14/1 with Betinternet, while Hearts are 12/1 with Stan James to steal a big 1-0 victory.
Victor Chandler are generously going top price on every selection in the first goalscorer market, which is headed by Gary Hooper at 9/2. He is followed by Mohamed Bangura and Anthony Stokes, both at 11/2, and Kric Commons at 13/2. Stephen Elliot is Heart's most potent weapon, available at odds of 19/2.
Celtic are 13/8 with Coral to lead at both half-time and full-time on Sunday and 7/2 with Sky Bet to win the match after drawing at the interval. Betinternet offer 11/2 that the teams are inseperable after 45 minutes and after 90 minutes, while Hearts/Hearts is 10/1 with Boylesports slightly shorter than draw/Hearts at 12/1 with Coral.
The SPL has been contested by just two teams for some time now, and Rangers have stolen a march on Celtic so far to find themselves very slight favourites, at 10/11 with Boylesports. The defending Champions, despite trailing by seven points, are no longer than the evens on offer at Stan James to retain their title.
