Warnock Fancied For Yorkshire Return After Grayson Sacking

Neil Warnock is the odds-on 4-9 favourite with Coral bookmakers to be appointed the new Leeds United manager, following the sacking of Simon Grayson.

Grayson was given his marching orders a day after the Yorkshire outfit were thrashed 4-1 at home by Birmingham and Warnock is the firm favourite for the job.

"Though most fans would have preferred to see Chairman Ken Bates go instead, Grayson's sacking comes as no surprise, and if Warnock is prepared to move back North and drop down a division he would be an ideal replacement," said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.

Roberto Di Matteo is the 9-2 second favourite.
