England World Cup Odds On The Drift

WILLIAM HILL have lengthened England's 2014 World Cup odds from 12/1 to 16/1 following their disappointing display against Switzerland. They have also lengthened France from 20/1 to 28/1 following the announcement of the seedings for the forthcoming World Cup draw, and shortened favourites Brazil from 7/2 to 5/2, with second favourites Spain out to 5/1 from 9/2.

'We have decided that on current form, under the current manager England do not warrant being any shorter than 16/1 and that as we have no idea who the boss will be when 2014 gets underway we should be looking to lay them now' said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WITH CARLO ANCELOTTI taking a year out but reportedly saying he wants to remain in management in England, William Hill's have introduced him into the 'Next England manager' market at 16/1. 'If it is decided to opt for another foreign boss Ancelotti would surely be a contender - after all, he speaks better English than Capello' said William Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
