ENGLAND’S WORLD CUP bid odds have been slashed by Ladbrokes to 13/8 (from 3/1) on the eve of the announcement in Zurich. The presence of Beckham, Cameron & The Prince has revitalised confidence in England’s chances and as such a huge gamble is taking place with a number of 4 and 5 figure bets registering today.

The late surge for England sees previous second favourites Spain & Portugal drift out to 9/2 from 7/4. Russia are still the solid favourites at 5/6.
