ENGLAND?S ODDS of hosting the 2018 World Cup have been slashed by Ladbrokes following the apology issued by Russian bid team.

England are now just 8/11 to host the 2018 World Cup with Russia out to 6/4, following their embarrassing gaffe.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "The Russian apology might be too little too late. It could be the best thing that`s happened to the England bid for a long time."
