HANNOVER, GERMANY - Premier League side Sunderland continue their pre-seaon preparations today with a friendly match against Bundesliga side Hannover. Home advantage gives Hannover the edge with the bookies and the German side are priced at 5/4 (bet £4 to make £5 profit) with Ladbrokes to win the match.
A draw in this evening's match (kick-off 18:00 BST) is best priced at 13/5 with Skybet and Sunderland can be backed at best odds of 11/5 with bet365.
Hannover, coached by Mirko Slomka, finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season - their best-ever league finish - and secured Europa League qualification in the process.
In the total goals market, over 2.5 goals is best priced at 7/10 with Victor Chandler and under 2.5 goals is priced at 23//20 with bet365.
With 96 kicking off their league campaign against TSG Hoffenheim on August 5, Slomka's men are a little ahead of Sunderland in their pre-season preparations having already played five friendlies.
The visit of Sunderland, who have won one and drawn one of their two friendlies so far, will provide Slomka and his players with perhaps their toughest test yet.
In the correct score market, a 1-1 draw is priced at 13/2 with bet365, a 1-0 win for Hannover is priced at 9/1 with William Hill and a 2-0 win for "Die Roten" is priced at 13/1 on Betfair. A goalless draw is priced at 14/1 with Boyle Sports and a 1-0 win for Sunderland is priced at 11/1 with William Hill.
Black Cats boss Steve Bruce says he's still focusing on fitness and will pick from largely the same squad which faced Arminia Bielefeld last Sunday.
One definite omission will be John O'Shea, who flies home today, while Keiren Westwood is still out of contention, Wes Brown is a doubt and Asamoah Gyan is continuing to build up his fitness.
