History of Poker

Poker is the great American game - more popular now than at any time before - but where has poker come from and who are the great players who have made the game what it is today?

It was Benny Binion, the infamous owner of the Binion's Horseshoe Casino in downtown Las Vegas, who first decided that poker should have a world championship to determine which player was currently the best of the bunch.
