JETTEN SIGNS FOR FULL TILT - In the big Poker news of this week, Full Tilt Poker announced the signing of Canadian pro Peter Jetten to their Red Pro roster. Jetten is known to be good friends with Tom "durrrr" Dwan, another Full Tilt pro.
Peter Jetten made the announcement on his Twitter page as he was playing at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Day 1b. He said, "I’m proud to announce I have signed a deal with Full Tilt Poker. Wearing the patch for the first time today. Press release etc later on.”
Jetten has risen to prominence recently after appearing on PokerStars' Big Game on television where he ran his pocket Kings into the Aces held by the Loose Cannon Bobby "the bus" to hand him the biggest win of the series.
IHateJuice forced to change screen name by Full Tilt -
After a number of complaints from players and railbirds at Full Tilt Poker, the site asked nosebleed specialist “IHateJuice” to change his screen name. The German Limit Hold'em pro is now playing under the name “Kagome Kagome“ and has changed his location to Japan.
Official word of the change came from a thread on the popular poker forum TwoPlusTwo where another heads-up limit player found himself playing a screenname he did not recognize.
The following was posted by TwoPlusTwo user “bicyclekick“:
I found out the hard way that Kagome Kagome is ihatejuice. He sat 30/60 with me and I played him. His location was Japan. He was playing pretty poorly and definitely not like a top limit holdem heads up player.
So I asked him to play bigger and we settled on 300/600. 8 hands into the match I asked him about how he just randomly shows up and wants to play super big.
He then says oh you didn’t get the full tilt email I’m Ihatejuice. Obv I insta quit and am furious. He claims the japan thing was ‘just for fun’. He has a japanese name, a japanese location, and Japanese avatar, and that’s just like OK?
IHateJuice eventually posted on the thread confirming that he was indeed playing under a new screen name at the request of Full Tilt Poker. The German had recently asked for increased limits on the tables at Full Tilt and was rewarded with his own $3,000/$6,000 Limit Hold'em table. The table name has also been changed to Kagome Kagome.
Phil Hellmuth on the move to Full Tilt? -
Eleven time WSOP Bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth has parted ways with his old site UB.com and has been acting fast to get another sponsorship deal from a big site.
Hellmuth recently announced that he was meeting with Full Tilt Poker supremos with a view to becoming a Red Pro. It is likely he will be looking to talk with some other sites before making a decision on his future.
There have been persistent rumours running on many poker news sites and forums that Hellmuth may make an appearance on 2011's Dancing with the Stars but the normally talkative poker legend has been tight lipped about this.
