Saturday’s games

Siena will be looking to get some points on the board as they welcome AC Milan. Currently second from bottom, Siena are amongst the teams that are favourites to go down. Although Ronaldo won’t be back for at least a month, that hasn’t stopped AC from scoring seven goals from three matches and they are in good form. Some might argue that the team will be weaker as AC prepare for a Champions League match on Tuesday, in my experience teams tend to play better before such fixtures. I think the bookies are being very generous and recommend a two point bet on AC Milan (-1) at 1.98.

The other match on Saturday sees Lazio host Empoli. Although Empoli have yet to win a match this season they have faced some tough opposition, in the form of Inter and Fiorentina. Lazio have managed two draws against far easier opponents. I recommend a one point bet on Empoli (+1) at 1.65.

Sunday’s games

Despite Inter being a much stronger side than Catania, they have started the season slowly and Catania have ground out some solid results. At the price on offer I can’t help but think that there is some value in backing Catania. Have a one point bet on Catania (+1 ½) at 2.15.

Udinese were thrashed 5-0 by Napoli in their last game and will not be relishing their trip to Juventus, who have yet to drop a point this season. Juve are clearly in good form and Udinese will be low in confidence. I think Juventus are fair value, Have a two point bet on Juventus (-1 ¼) at 2.05.

None of the other games represent much value for me.
