Saturday’s game

The only game to be played on Saturday sees Empoli welcome current champions Inter Milan. After a disappointing result against Udinese last week the pressure wll be on Mancini to get a result. Empoli will also be looking for some points after their 3-1 defeat to Fiorentina. Although both sides have their injury worries, Inter have a great record against Empoli and I think they are fair value at the price on offer. Have a two point bet on Inter (-1) at 2.14.

Sunday’s games

Cagliari take on Juventus in the hope of continuing their good start to the season. Ranieri will be keen to stake his claim for the title. I think Juve will be too strong for Cagliari and the odds aren’t too bad. Have a two point bet on Juventus (-¾) at 1.98.

[Juventus won 3-2]

None of the other games represent much value for me.

Monday’s game

There is a case for backing Fiorentina as AC Milan may be tired from the Super Cup final on Friday. However, they did win the match and at the prices on offer this is a no bet for me.
