Struggling Palermo will be hoping for three points in order to remain in a UEFA Cup spot, they will meet Ascoli at the Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca. Currently one point behind Empoli, they will be going all out for the win. Although Ascoli have already been relegated, their form of late has not been bad, and I think that teams that no longer have any pressure on them tend to play better. That coupled with the fact that Palermo’s current away form is dire, makes them a decent proposition. Have a one point bet on Ascoli (+1 ¼) at 2.02.

AC Milan are in great form at the moment, as can be seen by their progression into the Champions League final. Although the drew last week with Fiorentina (dropping down to fourth place behind Lazio) they will want to move back up to third with three points against Catania. Catania’s recent form has been unpredictable and I don’t think they will be any match for an AC team that is high in confidence. Have a two point bet on AC Milan (-½) at 1.85.

Inter v Lazio is the big match of the weekend, will the Champions be able to bounce back from their thrashing at the hands of Roma or will Lazio claim three points in an effort to cement their third place. It is difficult to tell how Inter will respond, and there is no great value in this, if I had to bet then I would take Inter (-½) at 2.17 but this match is a no bet for me.

Fiorentina will host Cagliari, although they are in the top half of the table, they are only three points clear of the drop zone and will need some points to remain safe. The Viola are in decent form at the moment and I think they have too much fire power for Cagliari.Have a one point bet on Fiorentina (-1) at 1.85.

Roma are in great form, demolishing Inter earlier this week in the Coppa Italia. Although they have little to play for in the league, they will not be a walkover and Torino will have their work cut out. Torino currently sit just two points clear of the drop zone and are in desperate need of points, however, I don’t think they have come to the right place for points. I recommend a two point bet on Roma (-½) at 1.92.
