Serie A 6 May
Ben Green's expert picks for Serie A football games on 6th May 2007.
Sunday’s games
Fiorentina will travel to Milan where they will face in form AC Milan. Not only have they won their last six league games but they destroyed Manchester United on Wednesday night at the San Siro. Fiorentina currently occupy the last UEFA Cup spot and will be looking to consolidate that position, but I think they will have an uphill struggle. Not only it Toni injured but Fiorentina’s form has been up and down all season - losing to Parma and then beating Lazio.
Have a two point bet on AC (-1/2) at 2.07.
[AC drew 0-0]
Cagliari are in the thick of a relegation battle and they host Udinese, who are comfortably sitting in the middle of the table. Although Udinese will be missing a number of players after three red cards last week I still think the handicap is far too generous and I recommend
a one point bet on Udinese (+1) at 1.93.
[Udinese lost 2-1]
Under new coach Ranieri, Parma have risen like a phoenix from the ashes and have moved out of the drop zone and are now three points clear. They still need a result but are in great form at the moment. Conversely Chievo have been in poor form and have dropped into the drop zone. Confidence will be low for the flying donkeys, that coupled with a mass of injuries makes Parma a value bet.
Have a two point bet on Parma (+½) at 1.81 .
[Parma lost 1-0]
Torino welcome bottom placed Ascoli and both teams are in terrible form, the question is, can Toro win by 2 goals or more? I doubt it and I think
Ascoli (+1 ½) at 1.91 is worth a one point wager.
[Ascoli lost 1-0]
