Saturday’s games

Roma will travel to Ascoli and may well be distracted, with one eye on their Champion’s League match against Lyon. Although Roma drew last week with Chievo and their away form has not been great I think this is still a tough match to call. Ascoli, although sitting at the bottom of the table, have managed three draws in their last three games, but I am not convinced they are strong enough to draw with Roma and the price is nothing to get excited about, this is a no bet for me.

Livorno host Inter, having lost at home only once this season could they achieve a result similar to Udinese’s 1-1 draw on Wednesday? Inter will be missing Crespo, Adriano, Viera and Cambiasso. I think Inter are available at a good price so I will have a two point bet on Inter (-1/2) at 2.00.

The flying Donkeys will travel to Milan hoping to add to their good run of form. However both sides have very long lists of injured players, so this is a difficult match to call. Chievo had a great result against Roma midweek and confidence will be high. I think a one point bet on Chievo (+1 ¼) is a value bet at 1.75.

Sunday’s games

Fiorentina host Torino, hoping to extend their good run and continue the push for European qualification. Torino, will be hoping to buld on last week’s win which put an end to a four game losing streak. The Viola have been in fabulous form at home recently and I don’t think Torino have what it takes to win this game Have a two point bet on Fiorentina (-1) at 1.78.

Another team that is in cracking form is Lazio, sitting in fourth place they are unbeaten in eight games and have been very strong indeed at home. They face Sampdoria, another side that is pushing for European qualification, consistency is the problem for Sampdoria and they struggle to perform for long periods. Whereas Lazio have a full squad, Sampdoria will be missing a number of players, not ideal when their away form is not so hot. Have a two point bet on Lazio (-3/4) at 2.00.
