Almeria aren’t out of this and our recommendation is to back the home side at decent odds.

This has all the makings of an upset - Barca are falling further and further behind in the title race, and were thrashed at Atletico Madrid two weeks ago.

If that wasn’t bad enough they then followed it up with a defeat against Villarreal. When you consider that Almeria have beaten Real Madrid you can get your head around the idea that they can beat Barca this weekend.

The home team tend to raise their game when they play the big teams like Barcelona so it is certainly within their capability to triumph here. The 7/2 that is widely available on an Almeria win is far too big.
