Saturday’s games

Bottom of the table Levante will travel to fourth placed Espanyol and are the clear underdogs for this fixture, the question is, is there any value in a handicap bet? Espanyol have been in great form lately and they have shot up the table as a result, my only concern is that Espanyol are not prolific goal scorers and I think they will struggle to overcome more than a one goal handicap. It is for that reason that this match is a no bet for me.

The other match is the biggest fixture of the weekend, an out of sorts Valencia side will take on Barcelona. Valencia have failed to win in their last three league games and have slipped down the table as a result, their form in Europe has also been poor and they will be low in confidence. Barca have been in good form, however their away form this season has been awful and so this could prove to be an interesting match. I recommend a one point bet on Barca (-½) at 2.10.

Sunday’s games

Villarreal have lost their last two league games and have slipped to fourth position, they will be desperate for three points when they visit Getafe. The home side’s form has been up and down of late and I think they will struggle against a side that has beaten Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla this season. Have a one point bet on Villarreal (level) at 2.12.

Mallorca have had a poor week and will be hoping to get their season back on track with a win against Athletic Bilbao. Athletic are In fair form and at the prices on offer I cannot resist a wager. Have a one point bet on Athletic (+½) at 1.88.
