La Liga 10 & 11 Nov
Ben Green's expert picks for Spanish La Liga games on 10th and 11th November 2007.
Saturday’s games
Having started the season terribly, Getafe have won four of their last five games and have begun to turn their season around. Getafe may also have the psychological high ground having knocked Barca out of the Copa del Rey last season. Barca’s form has been up and down of late and I think there is little value in this match.
Valencia’s form has been all over the place this season, their midweek loss to Rosenborg and the loss of their manager will not have steadied the ship. They welcome Murcia who have been relatively solid so far. At the price on offer I think Murica are decent value and recommend
a one point bet on Murcia (+1) at 2.05.
[Murcia lost 3-0]
Sunday’s games
Currently fifth in the table, Athletico will be hoping to put their loss to Villarreal behind them as they travel to Almeria. Athletico are in good form and that coupled with the fact that Almeria have lost their last three games makes the away side a decent bet.
Have a two point bet on Athletico (-1/2) at 2.11.
[Athletico drew 0-0]
Racing are undefeated in the last six games and have moved into the top half of the table as a result. They travel to Deportivo, who's form of late has been all over the place. I think Racing are fair value and
recommend a one point bet on Racing (+1/4) at 1.90.
[Racing won 1-0]
Having conceded six goals in their last two games Real Betis are really on the rocks. Just one place off the bottom of the league they are going to be relegated unless they get their act together. Real Zaragoza are in decent form and will be looking to push for a UEFA Cup spot, they will be keen to capitalise on Betis's poor form.
Have a two point bet on Zaragoza (level) at 1.90.
[Zaragoza lost 2-1]
None of the other games represent much value for me.
