Wednesday’s games

Recreativo will be hoping to get their season back on track after four consecutive defeats, they welcome Racing Santander. In sharp contrast, the visitors have been in good form, moving up to eighth place in the table and they will be keen to continue their climb up the table. Having just scored three goals this season and won none of their games, Levante are in real trouble, they travel to Villarreal who are third in the league but have stumbled lately with a couple of disappointing results. Following their 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Real Zaragoza, Villarreal will be hoping to get their campaign back on the road with an away win.I recommend a two point bet on Villarreal (-1 ½) at 1.95.

Valencia are not having a good run of form at the moment, having lost four of their last five competitive games confidence will be low, they will welcome La Liga champions Real Madrid in the hope of getting three points and bouncing back from this disappointing period. Manager Quique Sanchez Flores was dismissed on Monday and so the club may well be in a state indescision. This is also an important game for Real, as they want to keep their place at the top of the table. I recommend a two point bet on Real (level) at 2.01.

Thursday’s games

Espanyol are on a tremendous run of form that has seem them climb to sixth place in La Liga, they welcome Murcia, in the hope of extending that run of form. Murcia’s form is inconsistent to say the least and it is difficult to predict how they will play from one week to another. I think Espanyol are fair value and recommend a one point bet on Espanyol (-¾) at 1.89.

The other match on Thursday sees Barca, travel to an out of form Valladolid. I don’t think Valladolid have any chance at all and recommend a two point bet on Barca (-1) at 1.87.
