Newcastle v Manchester City

Newcastle really are in poor form. They have been hugely inconsistent this season and are currently playing appallingly, losing to Wigan and drawing with Derby. St James Park really does not seem to be an advantage, as the onslaught players are receiving from the fans is proving a real strain on the team.

City meanwhile are have had a great start to the season, they showed their maturity last Sunday by toughing out a draw against Liverpool on Sunday. They definitely have to be favourites in this game but the amount of times they have drawn recently must be taken into account so backing Man City level on an Asian Handicap has to be the safe bet.

Reading v Portsmouth

Reading, despite a few recent results going against them, are scoring quite a few goals and had the upper hand for much of the game against Tottenham on Saturday. Reading’s home form has been awesome this season whilst Portsmouth haven’t won in their last four games. Portsmouth’s loss to Boro on Saturday has seen them drop below Villa in the table.

Reading are an extremely tough fixture at home and should give Portsmouth some difficulties.
