AC Milan v Celtic

Milan are through and Celtic just need a draw to do likewise, there is therefore little incentive for either to team to perform. Celtic played a very lazy game against Hearts at the weekend and I would not be surprised if they repeated such a performance against Milan.

Milan may well have qualified, yet they still have their fans on their backs due to AC’s poor form in Serie A. Milan are playing at home and I believe that they will want to impress the home crowd by beating what should be a subdued Celtic.

Shakhtar v Benfica

This is really the battle for the UEFA spot, although if Celtic lose and Shakhtar win then Shakhtar will go through. Benfica, however, will be looking to beat out of form Shakhtar to gain their place in the final 32 of the UEFA cup.

Benfica currently look on very good form, despite losing to Porto on Saturday they had previously won their last four on the trot. Shakhtar meanwhile drew with a team who are second bottom in the Ukrainian league at the weekend and prior to that lost 2-1 to Dinamo Kiev. Odds of 5.4 on Benfica do look good value.
