DUBLIN - Irish bookmaker Paddy Power is quoting odds of 9/2 (bet Β£2 to make Β£9 profit) on Full Tilt Poker offering real money games on July 27th, the day after the company's hearing with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC). Paddy Power offers 1/8 on there being no real money poker at Full Tilt on the 27th.
Full Tilt Poker's licence to offer real money online poker was taken away by the AGCC around one month ago after it made an investigation in to Full Tilt's operations as a result of the United States Department of Justice's findings on Black Friday.
Many poker sites are taking advantage of the fact that the second biggest poker site is not open by offering extra bonuses to attract players from Full Tilt who may or may not still have money on the site.
Paddy Power Poker will effectively be refunding all bets placed on this market as anyone making a bet will receive their stake as bonus dollars in their Paddy Power Poker account.
Paddy Power, the sites communications manager said βWhether Full Tilt Poker is opened or closed on the 27th, players will have good reason to be playing poker on paddypowerpoker.com. Either way itβs a no lose situation for our punters and poker players as they get paid one way or the other regardless of the outcome.β
The Irish poker site is also offering a new bonus scheme called "Green Card", which is similar to Full Tilt's Black Card VIP bonus scheme. Players have to earn 40,000 points in a calendar month between August 1st and October 31st to qualify for the Green Card.
Players maintaining that level of play (a 1,300 points per day rolling average) will get a 20 per cent discount on bonuses in the VIP store, a $50 token to a live event satellite every month as well as other rewards.
Previous holders of Full Tilt Poker's Black Card can take a short cut to the Green Card as they only have to average 1,300 points per day over a seven day period to receive all the benefits.
