Tiger Airways to fly punters to Singapore’s new casino

Foreign guests wishing to visit Singapore’s first casino resort will have the option of taking a private, chartered flight there with Singapore’s budget carrier Tiger Airways after a deal was struck between the airline and Resorts World Sentosa.

The casino will take over the lease of the aircraft, while the plane will be staffed by pilots and cabin crew from Tiger Airways. The service is set to commence late this year as details and schedules were currently being finalised, the airline said in a statement.

Tiger Airways operates flights to Asia and Australia from bases in Singapore and the Australian cities of Melbourne and Adelaide.

Resorts World Sentosa, which opened to great fanfare last month, is Singapore’s first casino and part of a $4.4 billion complex that includes a Universal Studios theme park, hotels and restaurants.
