Winter blues for McClaren?

England manager Steve McClaren is 1.40 (2/5) to step down as England boss this month, according to Ladbrokes. Bet Asia takes a closer look at the England manager sack race and what the bookies are currently offering.

And the under pressure manager is 9.00 (8/1) to be axed in December. Jose Mourinho can be backed at 5.50 (9/2) with Stan James to take over from McClaren, Martin O’Neill and Scolari are both on offer at 6.50 (11/2) with VCBet.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “England are unlikely to make the Euro 2008 finals. And a premature exit will surely spell the end of McClaren’s reign. Even if the Three Lions pull off mission impossible it may not be enough to save the boss.”
