MADRID, SPAIN - Real Madrid have the chance of going 10 points clear at the top of La Liga tonight when they face 4th-placed Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu. Madrid are heavy, heavy favourites to win the game at a best price of only 1/11 with Ladbrokes (bet £11 to win £1), while Levante are a huge 33/1 with Bet Victor to come away from the capital with three points. Punters can get a best price of 12/1 on the draw, again with Bet Victor.
After Barcelona lost again last night to Osasuna, most consider the league title to be Real Madrid's, given how imperiously efficient they have been this season. They have dropped only three points at home all season in a December defeat to Barca, but no other team has been able to take anything off them. Dispatch teams like Levante for the rest of the season like they have been doing all year, and the league title will be theirs.
In their nine home league wins, Real Madrid have not scored less than three in any of them. They are 1/3 to score three or more on Betfair, 19/20 to get four or more and 21/10 to get five or more. Madrid are 1/4 with most firms to win with a (-1) goal handicap, with Coral, Paddy Power, Boylesports and Bodog. They are 4/6 to win with a (-2) goal handicap while Ladbrokes are offering 13/8 to win by four goals or more.
Levante however are no average La Liga side. They were top of the table in the very early stages of the season, and are still leading the chasing pack behind the top two and Valencia in the chase for the last Champions League qualification spot. They don't have a great away record however, at least not against the better sides in the division. They have lost four of the five away matches against sides in the top half of the division, losing to Barcelona (5-0), Atletico (3-2), Osasuna (2-0) and Athletic (3-0).
Another 2-0 defeat for Levante is best at 8/1 on Betfair, 3-0 to Madrid is best at 13/2 with Betfred, and you can get 7/1 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power for the 4-0 home win. 5-0 to the home side is a mere 11/1 with Blue Square.
They have only kept a clean sheet on an incredible one of their ten home games Madrid however - the fifth worst in the league. Both teams to score is 6/4 with Coral, while Madrid are an unattractive 4/5 with Ladbrokes to win to nil. 3-1 to the home side is 12/1 with Betfred and Blue Square while 4-1 to Mourinho's side is 14/1, again only with Betfred.
Madrid are 8/11 with Paddy Power to win both halves, while Levante are 15/2 with the same firm to win either half.
Ronaldo is so shot at 2/5 to score anytime with Coral, though you can get 2/1 with Boylesports on him to score two or more. Benzema is 19/20 on Betfair to score while you can get only 4/5 on Higuain getting on the scoresheet, only with Boylesports. Mesut Ozil is 13/8 on Betfair to score while you can get 17/10 on the same exchange for Angel Di Maria to score anytime.
The match kicks off at 2100 GMT and is live on Sky Sports.
