La Liga: Villarreal vs Real Betis Odds and Betting Preview

VILLARREAL, SPAIN: Villarreal host fellow strugglers Real Betis in La Liga on Saturday, and bookmakers believe the home side should come out on top, with Ladbrokes offering best odds of 21/20. The draw can be backed at 12/5 with Sky Bet, while Betis are 10/3 with Victor Chandler to record an away victory they desperately need. 

It is hard to say which of the two can claim to be the form side. Betis have lost as many as six of their last seven games, but are as high as twelfth in the La Liga table after a blistering start to the season. Villarreal, meanwhile, have lost 3-0 three times in two weeks, but showed signs of turning their fortunes around with a hard-fought draw at Espanyol last time out.

The game looks set to be a close one, and a 1-1 draw is the favourite score, at 6/1 with William Hill. A 1-0 home win can be backed at 7/1 with Ladbrokes, while Betinternet offer 17/2 on both 2-0 and a 0-0 draw. Betis can be backed at 9/1 with Bet 365 to come away with a 1-0 win and are as long as 50/1 with Paddy Power to hand Villarreal yet another 3-0 defeat. 

Marco Ruben is favourite to open the scoring in the absence of both Nilmar and Guiseppe Rossi, at 11/2 with Boylesports, although the Argentine has scored just once in eight appearances this season. Next in the betting is Roque Santa Cruz, at 8/1 with Sky Bet, who also offer 9/1 on Gerard. Jorge Molina, who has put in some good displays so far, is also 9/1, with Ladbrokes.

Villarreal are 13/5 with Ladbrokes to lead at both half-time and full-time and 4/1 with Coral to win the match after drawing at half-time. The same firm also offer 4/1 that both halves finish with the scores level, while Betis/Betis and draw/Betis are available at 6/1 and 8/1 with Betfred and Bodog repectively.
