Only one more La Liga match to go and the drama keeps mounting, especially in the relegation zone.

On Saturday Recreativo and Numancia were finally condemned to play Segunda Divisón football next season, which cleared things up slightly at the bottom half of the table.

However, up to five teams will be fighting to avoid the remaining relegation spot until the very last second.

The three most likely candidates to become the third relegated side, Osasuna, Sporting and Getafe, all managed to win last weekend. Their successful matches did not get them away from trouble, but dragged another two teams, which looked safe a few weeks ago, Valladolid and Betis, down to the fight for La Liga survival.

So with any one from five to go down let`s look at a couple of matches that will effect the outcome.

Osasuna V Real Madrid

Barcelona`s conquerors of last weekend, Osasuna (1-0), take on a Real team that is clearly in the middle of a slump even at this stage of the season.

Last weekend Real Madrid were truly awful, in a below par performance they took the lead on 20 minutes through Gonzalo Higuain only to see Mallorca equalize six minutes later and then to score two more goals without reply to condemn Madrid to their fourth straight defeat in a half empty Bernabeu.

Osasuna were clearly very happy to register the three points against an under strength Barcelona at the Camp Nou, both teams celebrated at the final whistle with Barca celebrating the Championship and Osasuna very happy to have the points in the bag in their relegation battle.

With the facts clear for all to see I think there is only one bet to have in this match and that`s a home win, three points here for Osasuna could get them out of trouble against a clearly disjointed Real side.

Sporting Gijon V Recreativo Huelva

Another crunch match this weekend with Sporting desperate for the three points against an already relegated Recreativo.

Sporting have given themselves every chance of escaping the dreaded drop after registering a good away win last weekend against Valladolid (2-1).
