Barcelona V Real Madrid
After losing to Sevilla last weekend Real will be looking for the win here to reignite their title ambitions, but can they do it?
Barcelona thumped third placed Valencia 4-0 and will be looking to strengthen their grip at the top of the table.
Barcelona have not won this fixture since 2005 and that was a three to zero away beating of their rivals.
The problem seems to be Real`s injuries as far as i can see they need their first team choices back before I would think about wagering on them, especially against this Barcelona team that is scoring at a fantastic rate, they are the leagues top scorers with 44 scored in 14 matches and they have only conceded 9 which is also the best defensive record in the league.
I can only really see one result here and that is a home win for Barcelona.
Given that the home team are 8/13 for the victory, I think its worth abet that Barca try and kill this game early.
Try the HalfTime/FullTime market with the bet being barcelona to win both the first half and then going on to win the match Barcelona/Barcelona, there is a stand out price of 6/4 available if you shop around.
Bet Barcelona/Barcelona HT/FT at 6/4.
Atletico Madrid v Real Betis
Sixth place Atletico take on ninth placed Betis this weekend.
Atletico lost twice to Betis last season and if you take out their last two results they are not playing up to their potential in my opinion.
They are however through to the knock out stages of the Champions League and seem to have found their form in that competition, where strangely they seem to be playing better than in their own league.
Quite often we see teams that have a midweek match play under their capabilities for their next fixture and I would side here with Betis.
Given their erratic league form and a Champions League match this midweek I am going to side against Atletico.
There are a couple of books offering over 4/1 for the 90 minutes result for Betis and this is the selection.
Bet Real Betis to beat Atletico Madrid in 90 minutes at over 4/1.
