Selections From La Liga Action

Stephen Fry gives out two selections from this weekend`s football action in Spain.

Real Madrid V Sevilla

This game could see Madrid take another beating and dent to their title ambitions further, after they lost last weekend to Getafe (3-1 loss), albeit with seven first team choice players out and they also lost Wesley Sneijder and Miguel Torres to injury at half time.

The trouble is Sevilla took a thumping last weekend from Barcelona (3-0) after matching Barca without really imposing themselves or scoring, Sevilla also saw Luis Fabiano sent off for an elbow on Sergio Busquets as the home side fell apart in the last few minutes.
Now the thing is that I would rather back Sevilla in this match than Madrid given Madrid`s miserable injury crisis.

My advice is to check out Madrid`s team selection before making a wager on this match, but if they still have between 7 and 9 first team choices out I would be in Sevilla, the current price of over 5/2 could be worth a punt if Madrid are so depleted.

Bet Sevilla to beat Real Madrid at 5/2 or better dependent on the Madrid team selection.

Barcelona V Valencia

Last season Valencia held Barcelona to a 1-1 draw at home, then when they were the visitors in Barcelona got thumped 6-0.

Barcelona seem to be hitting some form and scoring goals for fun, both Messi and Eto`o seem to be hitting the back of the net regularly.
Valencia sit in third place after 13 games behind Barcelona and Villarreal having only losing 2 matches and drawing three.

If you fancy last years score-line of 6-0 you will be handsomely rewarded with 100/1 and greater.

I am going to go for a more realistic 3-0 to Barcelona at a tasty 12/1.

Bet Barcelona to beat Valencia 3-0 at 12/1.
