Expert Picks From La Liga Action

Stephen Fry gives out a pair of picks from this weekend`s La Liga schedule.

Recreativo V Barcelona

After last weekends drubbing of Valladolid (6-0) Barca should be in top form this weekend to go to Recreativo.

Barca showed last week what a great side they can be, attacking the whole match and having a huge 22 shots on goal compared with Valladolid`s 3!

Samuel Eto`o showed that he is playing extremely well right now scoring 4 times before half time to take Barca in at the break 4 up.

It would take a brave man to bet against Barca right now, but given their odds of a best priced 4/11 to win in the 90 minutes, I think the best way of getting some value is to look at the HalfTime/FullTime market.

Barca at 10/11 to win both halves looks like value to me, saying that if you fancy Barca to go on another goal spree there are some fancy prices to be had, 5-0 rates a general 33`s shot and 6-0 is a 66/1 ask.

Bet, Barcelona to beat Recreativo HalfTime/FullTime at 10/11.

Malaga V Villarreal

Second placed and still undefeated Villarreal travel this week to Malaga, aiming to keep that record intact.

Malaga clearly are not that bad a team, they lost 4-3 last weekend to Real Madrid and they held the lead 3 times, the problem seems to be holding on to a lead, they did not score midweek in the Copa Del Rey, losing 2-0 to Mallorca, and going out of the competition 3-1 on aggregate.

I really can`t see past a win here for Villarreal, a couple of books still have the visitors chalked up at 6/5 and I think that this price will go, with Villarreal starting the match at close to evens` or even a shade of odds-on.

Bet, Villarreal to beat Malaga at 6/5.
