Scotland v Croatia Selections

Scotland and Croatia matchup in a Friendly Wednesday evening. We break the game down and give out a pair of selections.

Scotland v Croatia
Friendly
Wednesday, 8pm (UK time)

This is not an easy prospect for Scotland especially as new manager George Burley has not had the smoothest of preparations. They face Croatia and will be without the services of seven of their regular squad members, including Captain Barry Ferguson and key player James McFadden.

With an important clash between Rangers and Celtic on Saturday, it`s no surprise that five of those missing are from those two teams.

The home side can be backed at 21/10, but the visitors start as worthy favourites at a best-priced 6/4. Everyone south of the border now knows about Slaven Bilic`s side, Croatia having topped a Euro 2008 qualifying group which included England and Russia.

Now up to 12th in the FIFA World Rankings, the Croats also boast an excellent away record, only losing once on their travels in the Euro group stages and infamously beating England 3-2 at Wembley.

The Croatians could easily beat Scotland here, especially with Scotland`s missing players, so a bet on the away team is advised. Have a saver on a low-scoring encounter too.

Betting Recommendations:

1pt on Croatia to win at 6/4

2pts on under 2.5 goals at 8/13
