USA V Brazil

After beating Egypt in their first match of the tournament Brazil go into this match as favourites, they managed to beat Egypt 4-3 with a 90th minute penalty (which the Egyptians still hotly dispute) scored by new Real Madrid signing Kaka.

The US on the other hand suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Italy, they had to play the whole of the second half with 10 men after Ricardo Clark`s foul on Gennaro Gattuso was deemed a straight red card by the referee.

To be honest watching the game before the send off, it seemed to me to be pretty even and the US were playing as well as could be expected, they are certainly not playing in this tournament for the fun of it.

I think that this will be a tight match, Brazil can play some great football and then let it all slip through bad defending.

I do however think that Brazil are the stronger side and they should go on to take the three points here which will secure them a place in the semi-finals.

Egypt V Italy

Given the Egyptians hard fought loss against Brazil, and the fact that from what I saw, Italy`s team are not world beaters, I am going to side with Egypt in this game.

I just have a sneaking feeling that Egypt may take the points off Italy here and make it a tense final round of matches to see who will qualify along with Brazil to the semi-finals.
