Spain V Iraq

Spain go into this their second match with what looks to be an easy enough task, after beating New Zealand 5-0 in their opening match they are looking to continue their good goal scoring record.

The top two in each group will qualify for the semi finals, with the winner of group A playing the runner up in group B, and the winners of group B playing the runners up in group A.

Spain find themselves in pole position to take this group and a win in this match will see them knocking on the door of the semi`s.

Iraq acquitted themselves quite well in their opening game against South Africa, holding the hosts to a 0-0 draw.

It has to be said that although Iraq are Asian champions I cannot see past a comfortable Spanish victory.

Given that Spain are -1600 generally, I think the sensible option for betting purposes is not an outright bet, but have a wager on the total goals, over 3.5 goals is favourite but looks like a banker bet.

South Africa V New Zealand

This is another one sided game in my opinion.

South Africa are favourites and rightly so, given that they are the hosts on home soil and that New Zealand are hardly a footballing world power and the 5-0 drubbing against Spain will do little to boost their confidence.

South Africa really need to step up their game here and prove to the world that they are not just in this because they are hosts.

Again as in the above match the `home` team are strong favourites to take the three points, but at -334 I do not see this being a bet.

Try instead a wager on the HalfTime/FullTime market, the team has to win both halves of the match, but I think the South Africa should be able to do this comfortably.
