European leagues - title round-ups

LONDON - After Manchester United all but wrapped up the Premier League title with a 2-1 victory over Chelsea, Live Odds and Scores take a look at some of the European league title races as we enter the final weeks of the football season.

In Spain, Barcelona's 2-0 derby win over Espanyol virtually assured Pep Guardiola's side a third consecutive La Liga title. The Catalan giants are eight points clear of Real Madrid with three games to go, and most firms are no longer taking bets on this year's title winner.

The race is far closer in France, however, where Lille and Marseille continue to battle it out for the Ligue 1 crown. Lille look well-placed for glory, four points clear of their rivals with four games to play, and Stan James make them 1/3 to claim a first title since 1954. Marseille are a 3/1 shot with Sportingbet, although their hopes took a heavy blow after the 3-2 loss to third-placed Lyon last weekend, who themselves are 20/1 at Betfred.

One of the closest races in the history of the Dutch Eredvisie leaves the title wide open going into the final day of the season. A superb run by Ajax has hauled them back into the hunt - they were as big as 12/1 with Victor Chandler to win the Eredivisie in early April - and the Amsterdam giants face the game of the season against top of the table FC Twente on Sunday. A win would see Frank De Boer's team crowned champions, and after seven consecutive victories they will be confident they can pip last year's winners to glory. Both Twente and Ajax are 10/11 shots with Boyle Sports to be this year's Eredivisie winners.

In Scotland, a shock 3-2 loss against Inverness has left Celtic chasing Rangers as the SPL comes to a close. Neil Lennon's team have drifted dramatically to 2/1 with Bet365 to win their first championship for three years; they sit a point behind Walter Smith's Rangers, who are now a 2/5 chance with Victor Chandler. Celtic will be desperately hoping for a slip-up when their Old Firm rivals take on Dundee United and Rangers in their final two games of the season.

AC Milan meanwhile won their first Serie A title since 2004 after a 0-0 draw at Roma on Saturday, and Dortmund confirmed their status as Bundesliga champions the weekend before.
