Tottenham v Aab
Aab are really not that bad a team, at second in the Danish league they have won their last two. The Danes really should be aiming to qualify for the last 32 and I believe that they will put out a strong side at White Hart lane with the intention of taking at least a point of Spurs.
Spurs will also be looking to win, they have been dodgy this season and would probably like to believe that they have now come through the worst of it. Spurs, however, still have a lot to do, especially in the premiership on which they should be focusing. I can see Tottenham winning, but I am not sure their mind will not really be on the game and therefore I believe the scoreline may be on the cards.
Betfair are offering Aab at 1.92 with a 1 ¾ positive handicap which I believe to be a value bet.
Have a one point bet on Aab (+1 ¾) at 1.92.
Tottenham won 3-2
Panionios v Galatasaray
Galatasaray are almost destined not to qualify, it would take a miraculous set of results to get them through to the last 32 and I think they will be focusing elsewhere. They are only top of their league on goal difference and I believe that they will be focusing on establishing their position at the top the league rather than making vain attempts at qualifying for the knockout stages of the UEFA cup.
Panionios’ only real chance of glory this season will be through the UEFA cup and it will also prove the most fruitful in terms of finance. They still have the chance to qualify and will be playing in front of their own crowd, giving them large incentives to win.
Have a one point bet on Panionios to beat galatasaray at 3.10.
Galatasaray won 3-0
Brann v Dinamo Zagreb
Dinamo Zagreb stand thirteen points in the lead at the top of the Croatian league. Their position is so comfortable that it will afford them to concentrate all their efforts on Europe. It is their second group tie and they will want to move up into the top two of the group after drawing a tough game against Basel.
Brann won the Norwegian league earlier this month and their last game was over 20 days ago in the UEFA cup against Rennes where they drew 1-1. The team may well be lacking match fitness after such a long break and will need to blow out some cobwebs if they are going to get a result.
Dinamo Zagreb (level) at 2.03 is the recommendation.
Dinamo lost 2-1
Cesare Prandelli, Fiorentina’s manager has recently lost his wife after a long illness. Make what you will of this, the players minds may not be on the game and a similar result to last weeks 0-0 draw with Regina may be on the cards. Then again the players may raise their games in tribute to their manager. It is a difficult call and make what you will of it but an Aek home win at 2.56 does seem to have value.
AEK drew 1-1
