Tuesday’s games
Athletico Madrid host Osasuna today in the Copa Del Rey. Osasuna had been having a great run in La Liga until this week where they lost to second from bottom Real Sociedad. Athletico have also had a poor week, drawing 0-0 with bottom placed Gimnastic. It would appear as though both sides are yet to find top form after the winter break and it is for that reason that I would recommend a no bet on this match. The only bet I would go for would be a one point bet on Under 2.5 goals at 1.66.
Osasuna drew 1-1
Wednesday’s games
Mallorca host Deportivo tonight in what could prove to be an interesting match. Depprtivo have a shocking record away from home but they beat Real Madrid 2-0 this week, whereas Mallorca got beaten 3-1 this week, Mallorca also have a poor home record having won one drawn four and lost four. I think it is probably best to steer clear of this match and it is a no bet for me.
Segunda Liga side Valladolid will host Villarreal tonight. Valladolid are having a tremendous season and are leading the Segunda by four points. Villarreal lost 3-1 to Athletico Bilbao last week and have been beaten in their last three matches, they will certainly not be approaching this match with much confidence. Valladolid have a strong home record this season, this coupled with the fact that Villarreal are not great when they travel makes the homeside a decent bet. Have a two point bet on Valladolid (level) at 2.00.
Valladolid won 2-1
Valencia travel to Getafe tonight, both teams will be in confident mood, as last week Valencia beat Villarreal and Getafe managed a 1-1 draw against Barcelona. Getafe have a great home record and I think Valenica will have trouble penetrating their defense. Have a two point bet on Getafe (+1/4) at 1.94 and a two point bet on under 2.5 goals at 1.60
Getafe drew 1-1
No other games represent much value for me.
Thursday’s games
Today’s only game sees Real Madrid travel to Real Betis in the last 16 of the Copa Del Rey. Recently Real Madrid have been in poor form, losing their last two matches, Betis have been the opposite, winning their last two encounters in la Liga. If I had to bet I would have a wager on Real Madrid, but I don’t think there is any value in this match and I think it is best left alone.
