CARDIFF, UK - The least glamourous of the Carling Cup quarter finals sees Premier League strugglers Blackburn Rovers travel to the Welsh capital to take on Cardiff City. The home side are favourites to win the match and can be backed at best odds of 7/5 (bet £5 to make £7 profit) at Boylesports to reach the semi finals. Blackburn meanwhile are top priced at 9/4 at Victor Chandler to give Steve Kean a much needed win. The draw is available at a stand out 5/2 with Betinternet.
The Cardiff City Stadium was the venue for Gary Speed's final match in charge of Wales before his tragic death. Wales beat Norway 4-1 in the match earlier this month. Speed will be remembered warmly at Tuesday night's match. Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean was a good friend of Speed and has admitted that he has found it hard to concentrate on football over the past couple of days, but with Blackburn fighting for survival in the Premier League he must start winning matches to get the fans off his back.
